Dating back to the golden years of bodybuilding, John Cameron has always had a passion for health and fitness. He had always wanted to open his own gym and help people get in better shape and live better lives. John was working for several years at a glass manufacturing plant, but the thoughts of having his own gym never left him.
He noticed that there was only one gym in his small town of Massena, NY, and that the facility had old equipment. He saw this as not being conducive to engaging people and decided to take the step of opening his gym. He contacted Bill at BAMPSCO, and together they worked out exactly what John needed to have the gym of his dreams for his community.
John left his manufacturing job to develop his gym full time. That was in 2021, and Impact Gym and Fitness immediately became the premier gym in Massena. Now, several years later, the equipment remains in top condition as John considers expansion. He and Bill continue to speak to each other frequently, sometimes if only to commiserate on the plight of their favorite sports teams.
